A flaming lantern hanging in one of the darkest corners of the gallery, playing the audio from NASA’s ‘Golden Record’ The record contains sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth, and are intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form who may find them. The records are both a time capsule and a planetary self portrait.
